The #CanadaUnited campaign's objective is to encourage Canadians to support local businesses.
This national campaign provides grants up to $5000 to help businesses recover from additional expenses incurred due to COVID-19.
As a result of the pandemic, many businesses incur additional costs from purchasing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), renovating space to comply with new governement guidelines, and increasing the use and capabilities of e-commerce.

physically blocking off areas and reduce use of spaces to maintain safe physical distancing
expanding and improving digital/virtual presence to reduce physical contact
Eligibility:
one application per ownership group
small to medium-sized businesses
cannot be Government organizatons, municipalities, charities, and the chamber of commerce network
75 employees or less
annual sales between $200,000 and $3,000,000
have $1,000,000 of commercial general liability insurance
full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines
in operation after September 1, 2020

all necessary invoices and receipts
one of the following documents (dated prior to March 1, 2020):
1. proof of business registration
2. sales tax (GST/HST) registration
3. recent sales tax (GST/HST) filing
